Fantastic night of 5 a side as Abingdon Wednesday kicks off!

A big thank you to all the teams new and old that made it down to the start of our expanded Wednesday night 5 a side league at Tilsley Park Abingdon. We do still have space in the league for a new team so register for free and start next week.

In the Premier League Ye Mon started the defense of their title with a 12-4 victory over Abingdons FC however the early leaders are Saky Thirds who move to the top on goal difference after a 14-5 win against Binos FC. Also with a win on the opening day are newly promoted Slough Posse who started their campaign against some old foes in Ale Stars who pipped them to the Div 1 title last season but couldn't stop them on the opening night as they went down 4-3 in what was an excellent contest.

In Div 1 Rafacakes took top spot with a 9-1 win over Murder On Zidanes Floor, will Rafacakes be up there come the end of the season? only time will tell! BTEC Moscow are second winning 5-2 against You've Been Tangoed while there was a 4-2 win for Fatzio over The Pie Eaters. Finally in Div 1 Hardly Athletic came through a tough encounter with The Mighty Ducks to win 4-3.

We move onto the newly formed Div 2 with lots of new teams battling it out for the first time at Tilsley Park. The standard this season may be a bit mixed this season with teams of all standards coming together but this will even out over the coming season's. Going top are Hog FC who beat Only Just Put Matip In 9-1 while Cumnor Veteran's went second with a 10-3 victory over Shaktar Last Night. The closest match in the division was between Sin Bin FC and Chamakh My Pitch Up with Sin Bin running out 6-4 winners. DWFC had a points match win however we do now welcome new team The Oscillators to the league from next week to fill the space in Div 2.

We do still have space in the Prem. Register for FREE at the link below or contact Rich on 07969731086 with any questions
