Great to be back at Abingdon 5 a side Wednesday

It was great to see everyone back playing 5 a side football last night at Tilsley Park after lockdown 2.0. We should get 3 weeks in before the Christmas break with the last week of the season next week then we kick off the new season the following week.

A massive congratulations go to Ye Mon FC who reclaimed their title last night after finished runners up last season. It wasn't easy though as a strong Hagdons side pushed them all the way. Ye Mon eventually edging the contest 4-3 to lift the Premier League trophy. Abingdons FC couldn't quite keep pace with them until the end after going down 6-4 to KanteFitMyWillian but will be pleased with an excellent season. In other Prem results Trade FC defeated Chubby Alonso's 9-3 while the two relegated side met with Zidanes beating Slough Posse 4-2. Both will be looking forward to a season in Div 1.

What I title race it's been in Div 1 this season as Bayern Neverlosen continue to lead the division but had to come through a 13 goal thriller with Ale Stars to secure a 7-6 win to keep them top by a point. Second place Bad Kompany had a 5-0 points match win due to Obi Wan pulling out at late notice. FC Hog are still in with a good chance of promotion as they stay third after a 8-3 victory against The Gardeners FC. In the other fixture The Mighty Ducks won a fantastic match with Crouchy United 5-4.

Finally onto Div 2 and champions Shaktar Last Night continued to impress as they move four points clear after a 11-5 win agasint FC Spangled. The race for the second promotion spot is still on though as second place Spread the Play beat Club De Lot 9-4 to stay a point ahead of third place Kipsta who picked up a 4-1 victory in their match with Pathetico Madrid. Finally Chamakh My Pitch Up defeated The Unremarkables 8-0.

Thank you to all the refs and players last night. Once again it's great to be back out there. See you all next week!
