Congratulations to the Champions - Abingdon Wed 5 a side!

Firstly thank you to all our teams and refs down at Tilsley Park in Abingdon on another great season of 5 a side. After playing one round of matches in December we were hit with another national lockdown meaning we didn't play round 2 until the 31st March. After the long lay off and a few changes to teams etc we have had a clear run through until the end of the season which is a huge relief not only for myself but for all the players and refs. Let's hope we get a full season in next time round without any stoppages.

Congratulations to Hagdons who lift the Premier League crown, winning the title by 2 points in the end. Unfortunately Nice Guys Finish Last weren't able to raise a side however judging by the 6-0 scoreline when the teams met last it was always going to be a Hagdons victory. Ye Mon finished strongly in second with a 12-0 victory over Jezzys who will be looking forward to starting next season in Div 1. In other results Kogs's beat new team Queens Park Hydrangeas 7-2 while The More defeated Hassan 7-5.

Congratulations to our confirmed Div 1 Champions Shaktar Last Night who made it back to back promotions with a 4-1 win over Slough Posse. Bayern Neverlosen are following Shaktar to the Premier League as they defeated Fernando Tories 7-3. In other matches Spread The Play finished the season with a good 4-3 win over The Mighty Ducks while Ale Stars had a points match win due to FC United failing to appear. We will be in touch with them to find out what happened and confirm if they are continuing in the league.

The results in Div 2 went to form as the top 3 all won. This means Congratulations go to champions Chamakh My Pitch Up after a great season winning their final match 9-5 against Club De Cot, just pipping Crouchy Utd to the title by a point. Crouchy end their season with a high scoring match against Pathetico Madrid winning 10-7. FC Spangled just missed out on promotion by a point but finished with a 5-1 victory against Unremarkables. Finally Brad's Formula won 9-4 against Kipsta FC in the other match.

Thank you again to all teams and our refs. The new season's fixtures will be out by tomorrow afternoon and the new season will start on Wednesday 30th June.
