Sunday 24th March - Birmingham Round-Up

It was an excellent evening of 6 a side football in Birmingham on Sunday which saw all 48 teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across all five divisions.

Pique Blinders remain at the top of the pile in the Premier Division after an impressive 6-0 victory over Dad's Army who's usually solid defence couldn't compete with the attacking threat posed this week.  Second placed D&G United were 2-0 winners over Ballers FC, whilst Athletico Mandem move into third place following their 5-2 victory over Tilton Rifles.  Chivas Premier and Itwasonlyasqudge played out a 1-1 draw, a result which keeps Chivas in the relegation places.

Chivas Supplemento top Division One after their 1-0 win over The SSS FC who drop to fourth position.  Six Offenders move into second spot after an impressive 5-1 win over Flamingos FC, at the expense of Sporting Madrid who drew 0-0 against The Hungry Boys, a game which always looked likely to be tight.  Haoddersfield Town FC moved off the bottom of the table following their 2-1 win over Expected Toulouse, who they are now just a point behind.

In Division Two Benteke Fried Chicken were 3-0 winners over Lads on Toure who were second before the game.  Benteke stay top of the pile with this result, whilst League Hunters move into second place with their 4-2 win over Leave My Arsealona.  For The Fans FC were 1-0 winners in their match over Simply Kosher and stay in fourth place, whilst Team A overcame Stevie Wonders 2-0.

South Birmingham Storm remain top in Division Three and also remain unbeaten, following their 3-0 victory over Orange Tangerines who remain in the drop zone.  Second placed Brian Munich were 1-0 winners of their match against Sportugal, whilst the other two matches in the division finished level.  Spartatak and Dead Ballers drawing 1-1 and UAE Town and Lonsdale ended goalless.

In the student Divisions, Whiligh FC stay top of Division Four despite their 0-0 draw with Put It Up My Brum, they actually extended their lead to three points as Hannover 69 missed the opportunity to catch them, they were beaten 3-1 by Che Bois FC.  Shovel FC were the days big winners as they had no mercy for Smack That Pitch Up who they hammered 12-0.  Boom Boom Pau were 1-0 winners over Registered Six Defenders in the final game in the division.

Division Five has a new leader as Tekkers-Slovakia thrashed Rachel Riley FC 6-0 whilst Tiv Boys could only manage a 2-2 draw with Obi 1 Kanobi 0, they drop to second place.  Petes Ultimate team stay in third place after they beat Ayewblind 5-0, a result which sees them move two points ahead of their rivals.  Finally, FC SE moved out of the bottom two with a 6-1 victory over rock bottom FC Third Bar.
