Sunday 24th November - Birmingham Round-Up

Overall it was another good evening's football in the Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week.  We were however disappointed to see non-attendances from three teams.  Mandem2Slappy have now been removed from the league immediately.  We will be speaking to Dartmouth FC and Selly Tokes accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 1st December.

It's shaping up to be an exciting final week of the campaign in the Premier Division as Make a Change United and Dad's Army lock horns to decide who wins the title!  It is a must win for Dad's Army as they sit a point behind top of the table.  Anything but a defeat for Make a Change and the title is theirs.

Brunswick Bladez were held to a 1-1 draw by Chivas Supplemento although, but it won't make any odds as they had the title wrapped up weeks ago.  They stand in the way of The Hungry Boys quest for promotion this week after they were beaten 2-1 by Simply Kosher who now have a realistic chance of getting into the Premier Division themselves.

Chivas Primera's impressive campaign in Division Two continued this week and despite wrapping up promotion a couple of weeks ago, they don't appear to be showing any signs of letting up.  Their 3-1 win over Sportugal condemns this weeks opponents to another season in Division Two as second placed Delph and Safety beat Expected Toulouse 5-2.

Division Three was blown wide open this week and we are still none the wiser as to who could go up with three teams locked on 19 points.  Dolce and Lallana and Lads on Toure won their matches 1-0 and 4-1 respectively, whilst Tea and Busquets 1-1 draw with Sainsbury's Baysix saw them drop out of the promotion places at this very late stage.

In Division Four there were wins once again for Krul Runnings and Finn Loves Grans FC, which sees both guaranteed to be playing higher division football next season.

We have a new season kicking off on Sunday 8th December!  We are accepting team application forms now and can guarantee you a place for the new season.  There is a one off Entry Fee of £25 payable by Debit or Credit Card upon signup so as soon as a completed application is received we will contact you with further details.

Good luck to all teams going into the next round of fixtures with Birmingham's premier provider of small sided football.
