Sunday 3rd March - Birmingham Round-Up

It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Birmingham on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only disappointment being Podolskiing for the second consecutive week, they will now be removed from the league.

Pique Blinders were 2-1 winners over Goosters FC in the top of the table clash, a result which puts Pique top of the Premier Division.  Meanwhile new team ItWasOnlyASquidge ran out 4-2 winners in their first game in the league, whilst D&G beat Tilton Rifles by a single goal.

The SSS recorded their third clean sheet on the bounce this week as they hammered Haoddersfield Town 6-0 to stay at the top of the table.  Sporting Madrid are level on points with them and sit second following a 2-1 win over Bartley Reds South in an impressive start to the campaign since promotion.  Third placed Chivas Supplemento edged past Hungry Boys by a single goal whilst Six Offenders and Expected Toulouse played out a stalemate. 

Benteke Fried Chicken lead the way in Division Two with a third win on the trot as they ran out 2-0 winners over Team A who's record is all square after 3 games.  Three teams are locked on three points following Simply Koshers 3-1 win over Stevie Wonders and draws in the matches between League Hunters and Lads on Toure (1-1) and Leavemyarselona and For The Fans (3-3).  

There was nothing to choose between Brian Munich and South Birmingham Storm who are the top two in Division Three, they played out a 0-0 draw this week and both stay in the promotion positions.  Third placed Spartatak also drew 0-0 with Orange Tangerines whilst UAE Town thrashed Sportugal 4-0 and new side Lonsdale FC ran out 1-0 winners against Dead Ballers.

Whiligh FC made it 3 from 3 in Division Four with a 2-1 victory over Hannover keeping them at the summit, whilst their opponents are now two points off the pace.  There were 2-0 wins for Shovel FC against Registered Six Defenders and Put It Up My Brum against Boom Boom Pau.  The final game in the division was a 1-1 draw for Che Bois and Exeter Gently.

In Division Five Tiv Boys made it 3 out of 3 after a 3-1 victory over Rachel Riley FC and sit top of the table.  Tekkers-Slovakia stay in second but only just as Petes Ultimate team beat them 5-2 and sit level on points with them.    Tinchy Sneijder were 3-1 victors in their match against Obi One Kenobi, their first win of the season, whilst AyewBlind sit fourth after a single goal victory over FC Third Bar.
