The Northampton 7-a-side Sunday league had some crucial fixtures this week, with the results playing an important part in the title race after round six. 

The Old Firm continued their winning start and extended their streak with a 2-0 win over PhatSeshUnited. The league leaders have finally opened up a single-point lead over NN Boyz, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Hangover FC in an exciting second versus third clash. 

Retirement Home FC, Team Alpha and Never Back Down FC all received walkover 5-0 wins, either through a points match due to a vacant spot, or unavailable opponents.
