Maidstone Valley Park 6 a side match day report!

A great night of 6 a side football at our Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side league at Valley Park School with all 16 teams in attendance. We are getting towards the business end of the season with the promotion race remaining very tight at the top of Div 1 and runaway leader Astro Worldies continuing to dominate the Premier League.

In the Premier League Astro Worldies are odds on favourites to retain their title as they enjoyed a 4-1 victory against The Upbeats last night with goals from captain Tom Watts 2 plus Harrison Mayhew and Zak Francis. Real Ale Madrid held on to second spot as they defeated Mind Of Mata 4-2 while FC Marden climb to third with a 5-1 win over Exeter Gently. Liam James and Owen Orpin both hitting doubles for Marden while Oliver Ruler also scored for the home team. 

The top 3 continue to battle it out at the top of Div 1 as last night's games gave us a new leaders in 2 Goals 1 Cup. They took advantage of the other two Seshball and 2 Girls 1 Schlupp taking on each other with Schlupp winning narrowly 4-3 to go level on points with Seshball. 2 Goals 1 Cup beat Norfolk In Way You're Winning 6-1 to go a point clear. In the other matches Inter Yernan FC climb to 4th with a 6-1 win over Boobs N Doobs while Kazakhstan FC picked up a welcome 6-2 victory against Cream Rises with strikes from captain Cam Daniel 2, Liam James 2, Stan and Alfie Flower.
