New 6 a side season kicks off at Maidstone

It was the start of our new Maidstone Wednesday season and despite the weather the teams took to the pitches for match day one. It was great to see all teams were in attendance apart from Las Coop who have since been taken out of the league due to a change in circumstances for some of their players. However credit to them for apologising and paying their match fee straight away. We will of course make sure their opponents receive something in return for their troubles.

Now we move onto the football and with two divisions now in place and promotion and relegation to battle for it's going to be an exciting season. We begin our results round up in the Premier League where 2 Girls 1 Schlupp got their season off to a winning start with a 6-2 win to go top. Former Champions MK Dongs also started with a victory. Jack Harvey hit a hat-trick for them as they saw off the challenge from Geri Hat-tricks 6-3. Harrison Mayhew also hit a hat-trick as Astro Worldies FC began with a 5-2 win over Real Ale Madrid. Finally a welcome win at the beginning of the season for Nice One Son's Crying as they defeated Boba Seniors 4-2.

Onto Div 1 and the leagues new teams. New boys Wildfire signed up late and weren't available to start until next week so Kazakhstan FC received a 5-0 win in their match. Roy Gobbers go top of the league after a 8-2 win over Dudley FC. Tom Lennard 3, Tom Agu Benson 2, Freddie Ellis, Jack Ferris and George Burrel with the goals for Gobbers. Two strikes from Tom Emberley in reply for Dudley. Portugeezers took the 5-0 win due to Las Coop not attending while the other game in Div 1 was very tight as Boobs N Doobs edged it 1-0 against Unfit FC.

Thank you to all teams and see you next week. We are delighted to welcome Heath Gang to the league who replace Las Coop next week.
