MATCH NIGHT REPORT - ROUND 4

Been a while since we’ve had a rainy night at Waterside but that was some rain!!! Bit delayed but here is a report of last nights stormy games!

We started the night with Panashingdon v Balotellitubbies. Both sides were looking to bounce back after tough results last week. This was a really tight match with either side having great chances. Panashingdon took a half time lead. Despite Balo’s attempt of a fight back they were unable to turn this one round. A great 5-1 result for Panashingdon in the end.

Also at 7 we had Johnsons v Benfleet. Both sides play patient build up football and a draw looked likely before the game. But a brilliant solo effort from Lewis Coxon secured Benfleet’s first 2 points of the season.

Then at 7:40 we had Inter Mivan v Coming Home. Both sides have had very different starts to the season with Inter yet to drop a point and Coming yet to gain one. A good line up from both sides saw a great start to the game but Inter showed again why they are contenders and ended up winning this game. Another fantastic result for our challengers. 9-1 the final result. Another 6 for Harley Cook. What a transfer that is turning out to be.

Also at 7:40 we had Biffta v Expected Toulouse. Both sides have great individuals but haven’t quite settled as teams just yet this season. This game was massively affected by the peak of the storm and meant both sides could not play their best football. A tight affair that was just edged by Toulouse who leap frog over their opponents in the table.

Then at 8:20 we had Neil FC v Range Rovers. Both sides have had strong starts to the season and Rovers were looking to upset the odds tonight. But tonight wasn’t the night for an upset as Neil did what they do best and secured an 8-0 victory. Tough night for a Rovers team made of just 5 players in that weather. A great battle. Neil yet to concede a goal this season. These boys just continue to improve.

Then our last game saw Monico take on Show me the Mane. This was an unpredictable game and depending on what team each side had out the results could vary. Monico actually had to use some ringers from their opponents in what was a very strange game. Despite the weather both sides embraced the football

spirit and put on a great show. An amazing 4-4 result in this one.

Thanks to all teams taking part last night and those very difficult conditions. This season has chucked some surprising results our way already. Look forward to seeing you all in action again next week!
