MATCH NIGHT REPORT - ROUND 9

Another brilliant night of football at Waterside tonight with all 12 teams in action.

We started the evening with Expected Toulouse v Range Rovers. Expected were looking to continue their fine form against a Rovers side who have had a positive season but have dipped the last few weeks. A great game saw chances for either side and it was 1-1 at the break. But a great 2nd half from Expected saw them win this one 3-1. Another brilliant result that sees their winning streak continue and leave them right in the title race.

Also at 7PM we had Balotellitubbies v Benfleet. The away side were returning after 2 weeks away and were looking to bounce back with a victory. Balo dominated the game and had numerous chances throughout but were not clinical enough. Benfleet took their chances and pinched a point from this one. 2-2 the final score.

Then at 7:40 we had Johnsons v Monico. Both sides were having similar seasons and Monico had the chance to leap frog their opponents tonight with a win. This was a great end to end game with goals for both sides. A late goal for Monico saw them take a 4-3 win and jump ahead of Johnsons in the table.

Also at 7:40 we had Panashingdon v Biffta. Panash were looking to add to their back to back draws whereas Biffta were in great form and looking to add to their points tally. A very even game was affected by 2 red cards for Panash as they finished the game with 4 men. Despite this they managed to grab an equalising goal and nick a point. Their 3rd in a row. A good point for Biffta but could it have been more?

Then at 8:20 we had Coming Home v Show me the Mane. Coming we’re looking to add to last weeks win and that they did. A huge 13-0 win saw them boost their confidence massively as they now have back to back wins. Tough night for Mane but I know they’ll bounce back.

Our last game was the big one. Neil v Inter Mivan. A win for Inter would see them take a 4 point gap on the champions whereas a Neil victory saw them jump to top of the table. Tonight Neil showed exactly why they are champions. An incredibly impressive performance and dominant display saw them take an 8-1 victory and bounce back to the summit of the league.

Some huge results in tonight’s games. Neil back on top and do we have a 4 horse title race? See you all next week for another great night of football under the lights.
