ROUND 8 - MATCH NIGHT REPORT

3 new teams made their debuts over Waterside tonight in a jam packed evening of football.

We started the night with Monico v Inter Mivan. A great contest between both sides saw plenty of chances for either team. In the end experience proved key in an important 3-2 victory for Monico. Inter showed good signs for the future with the football played tonight though.

Also at 8pm we had Town v DBA. DBA took an early 2-0 lead but the new boys showed great strength to bring it back. The game was 3-3 at half time and the second half was just as close but it was Town who took advantage and ended up 5-3 winners. A great first result for Town. DBA again we’re great going forward but sloppy at the back at times.

Then at 8:40 we had Neil FC v Shalom Jackie. A tough start for the new boys saw them take a 7-0 defeat. It doesn’t start any harder than the champions and current undefeated Neil FC. Another fantastic performance tonight. Could they achieve a maximum point season? It’s surely on the cards.

Then at 9:20 we had Tiki Taka v Range Rovers. After Rovers recent narrow defeat to Neil they had confidence heading into the match. Tiki Taka weren’t messing around tonight, though. A great performance with some lovely goals saw them take victory with a 5-1 score line. A tough night for Rovers but they’ve bounced back before and I’m sure they will again.

Another great night of football over Waterside tonight. The league is now back to full capacity and should mean every time is in action like tonight. See you all next week for more of the same!
