Sunday Season Update

It was another GREAT night of football in in the sun last night,  all teams were in attendance and there was some interesting fixtures on the cards!

Premier League

Groggy Season remain at the very top of the tree after another win, head to head with a somewhat weakened Nuts United Team they took a 3-1 victory early in the night, to sustain their place a the top .

Recent arrivals to the Premier League, Academical, look at home in this division, as they also took a second win on the bounce in their campaign to lift the cup!  A convincing 4-1 win over Net Six and Chill sees them keeping pace in the league, with goal difference separating them from the top spot.

Hot on their heels however are The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as they took a very narrow 1-0 win against Woodworks in a high intensity battle of end to end action!

New arrivals Finding Mido took to the field searching for their first win in their Leisure Leagues career.  They showed some real dominance and showed their intentions for the season as they took a 6-2 win over Tekker Slovakia.  A team to keep an eye on for sure!

Division 1

The Squirells keep up the pace after their relegation to Division 1 this season.  They sit top of the ladder after a narrow victory in the first game of the night against Chamakh My Pitch Up. A 1-0 win separated the teams at the final whistle with The Squirells taking the points and the glory.

99 Problems, still on a high after promotion this season took to the field to meet a team they have not faced before in Expected Toulouse. Division 1 football however, is a different prospect and victories are certainly harder to come by, as they found out, with a goalless draw at the final whistle.  They went to the sheds with a point and sit second in the table.

99 Problems' old foes Bayer Neverlusen are having a tougher time in Division 1.  With a draw last week, and a loss this week, in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of West, Ham Egg N Chips, 4 places separate the two after the second round of fixtures.

Welcome to the League BSB Elite! and what a statement they have made!  A 6-0 drumming of Nuts United B is the first result they have chalked up this season.  They have made their intentions clear in the early stages!

Division 2

Chancers remain in the top spot this week after their second victory on the trot, with a 2-0 win over Ivory Toast! they are certainly looking comfortable in the early stages of the season, and are looking to build as the season moves on.

Benteke Fried Chicken returned to winning ways with a convincing win over Mercury Town.  A 5-1 win sees them sitting second in the table, a point adrift of the league leaders.

AFC Dry Lunch also chalked up their first win of the season  last night, in a 3-1 win over Lets Be Havin' You.  They now sit a solid third in the table, as goal difference keeps Benteke ahead, for now....

Jewventus, following their promotion this season sit a solid fourth, having taken two draws in two matches.  A goalless draw this week against Real Lee Sheet was a fair result in a well played out fixture.

Division 3

Ninja Skrtels see themselves in somewhat uncharted waters, as they sit at the top of the division with back to back victories.  The latest, a 4-1 win over Hungarians & Co.who drop to 6th.

Weston Warriors drop to second place after a defeat at the hands of Not Fast, Just Furious.  A narrow victory here of 2-1 sees Not Fast, Just Furious sitting solid in the centre of the table.

Weston Seagulls climb to 3rd after a GOAL FEST of a game with Fedup United.  At the final whistle it was 8-2 to Weston Seagulls, who, are certainly looking comfortable early in the season.

The last game of the night to report, was SW Dons' head to head with Where are all The Wags.  The Dons came out of the blocks early and scored one of the fastest goals I have seen in Leisure Leagues.  There were 4.5 seconds on the clock, and the score was 1-0!  SW Dons continued to play the ball well and picked up their first Leisure Leagues career win, with a 4-0 score line.

All in all another great night of football. If the early stages are anything to go by, this season is going to be tight, Right to the end!!

We are REALLY looking forward to seeing how this one pans out.

See you next week
