W-S-M Thursday News Update - Week 6

Great to see all teams turn up last night, with the exception of Making Emile of it who have been withdrawn from the Premier League effective immediately.

Now to what everyone really wants to read about... The Results!

Premier League -

The Match of the night goes to Francesco Shotti vs My Little Bony... in a tightly contested match neither team could find a way through, after 40 minutes the final score was 0-0. The fist nil all draw that I can remember!

With the withdrawal of Making Emile of It, the League Titans, Chicken Tikka Mo-Salah picked up a Points Match win, and remain clear leaders at the top of the table.

Elsewhere Sex, Drugs and Carlton Cole, picked up another win, edging Six Offenders 2-1.

Division 1 -

The Match of the night in this division goes to Geriatricos vs Moves Like Agger. Geriatricos returned this week looking to return to winning ways after their defeat last week. They faced a stern challenge against  Moves Like Agger, who have won 5 from 5 thus far.  This they did, leaving Agger to swallow the bitter pill of defeat for the first time this season!  It was a hotly contested match on both sides, but, Geriatricos edged it 2-1.

A similar story in the other Div 1 games, Ruud van Nipplejoy were looking to continue their form after taking a win last week, faced off against Shooter Tooters.  Another well fought and tight game, but Nipplejoy managed to hold on and pip the Tooters 4-3 at the final whistle.

The final match in this division was Milan vs Dyslexia, and again there was little in it. With Milan breaking the deadlock to take a 1-0 win.

Division 2 -

Scoops FC arrived looking to defend their impeccable opening season in the Thursday League, sitting at the top of the table without a loss!  This they did, firing 3 past Lucky Punts without reply.

Bulgaria, sitting second, looked to return to winning after their draw last week, did just that, by slotting home 7 goals, with Inter Ur Nans only managing 1 in response.

Finally, the new boys, Robben Me Blind, who have also yet to lose since their debut in the Thursday League, having scored an impressive 15 goals in two matches, arrived looking determined. This they were, as they bashed home another 10, without reply over Barely Athletic.

All in all a cracking night of football and we look forward to returning next week.
