Monday 14th January - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Worthing on Monday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only exception being Fake Madrid who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their continuation for Monday 21st January onwards.

We welcomed a new team into Division One this week, Don't Have a Kalou endured a difficult start to life in the league as they were beaten 8-1 at the hands of FC Big Wangs, however they were said to be in good spirits after the game and we hope to see results improve for them in future weeks as they get used to the league rules.

There were some interesting results in the Premier Division as the top two were both beaten this week, opening the door for previous champions Hussars who won 2-1 against Hateful Eight, they now sit in third just 1 point off the top after defeats for Whetoor Is Evripmone and Rudd Van Nipplejoy respectively.  You certainly wouldn't bet against Hussars winning their fifth title in a row at this stage of the season.

In Division One it is Range Athletic who appear to be invincible this season, they made it 9 wins in a row as they edged past Findon CCFC 3-2.

Bakedbaines took advantage of Fake Madrid's failure to attend and went top of Division Two following their 4-1 win over Bag Raiders.

Selden Park Rangers are now level on points at the top of Division Three after they won 4-0 against 2 Goals 1 Cup, taking full advantage of All The Gear's 7-6 defeat at the hands of Queens Park Strangers who now sit in third place in what looks to be an exciting end to the season as 2 points separate the top 4 teams!

We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worthing's premier provider of small sided football.
