Monday 9th May - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week as we returned to action following the Bank Holiday break last week, with some excellent football on display across all four divisions.

Sevilla Autism remain at the top of the Premier Division and two points clear of second place, as they were 8-2 winners over Hussars FC in a superb performance!  Second placed Jimmy Floyd Hasslehoff ran out winners in an 11 goal thriller this week as they thrashed Vapors by a 6-5 scoreline,  whilst the goals flowed in the other league game as The Dad Bods were 5-4 winners against MK's Dons in another thrilling tie.

Worthing Rovers put themselves in strong contention to take the title in Division One this week as they moved four points clear of the competition, this week beating Wet Ass Pukki by a 5-1 scoreline in what was a top two clash before kick off, Pukki now drop to third place.  Murder on Zidane's Floor took full advantage of this result in an unrelenting 14-3 win over Jen Dog FC as they moved up to second spot, giving them a superior goal difference to that of third place.  BCOB won another goal filled game as they were 9-7 victors over Packet Inn in an end to end encounter, whilst Pen15 Club were convincing 7-1 winners against Bound Toulouse.

The Division Two title race got closer this week as leaders Arseanal were held to a 3-3 draw by Cream of the South, paving the way for second placed LA Dairy Milk to move within a point of the top team, as they showed no mercy at all in thrashing strugglers Brass Band 10-1 in a goal difference boosting performance.  LR Vets seem to be finding their feet in recent weeks and were huge 13-2 winners of You Petr Cech Yourself as they build towards next season.

Division Three leaders Not So Athletic remain two points clear of second place this week as both picked up wins, they were convincing 7-1 victors against 3 For 100? whilst second placed Bowen Balcony beat Affordable FC by a 3-1 margin.  Third placed Unathletico Madrid lost ground on the promotion spots after they were beaten 3-1 against bottom of the table Bayern Munchies in a surprise result.  Nolu FC and Disunited played out an entertaining encounter, winning a 12 goal thriller over Disunited by 8 goals to 4.
