Sunday 10th July - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with the only disappointment being a non-attendance from Posh and Becks Vier who we've now removed from the league as this was their second non-attendance in a row.

The battle of the current Premier Division top two promised to be an entertaining game, High Salvington Gentlemen remain the last team in the division with a perfect record as they romped to a fine 4-0 win over Fatzio who drop to second spot.  Third placed Real Le Sheet were also convincing winners this week as they swept aside She Was Only XI by 5 goals without reply, as were fourth placed Mas Dog Academy who were 7-0 winners over The Tutt Experience as both do their best to stay in and around the top two.  Lahmageddon climbed out of the relegation places as they were 3-1 winners over Unnamed FC to move two points clear of now second from bottom The Tutt Experience.

Division One leaders The Rebels were awarded a 5-0 win this week due to the non-attendance of Posh and Becks as mentioned above, as were second placed Inter Ya Nan due to the absence of their opposition too.  Third placed Chicken Tiki Taka stay in the promotion hunt and level with second place, they had their shooting boots on this week as they cruised to an 8-3 win over The Defeatables, whilst Ji Sung Park The Bus climbed out of the drop zone following their 5-4 win over TTM FC in an end to end game.

Division Two also saw the top two teams meet this week, and Sompting Dragons now lead the way on goal difference as they ran out 5-2 winners over Hakuna Juan Mata in another well fought encounter.  Third placed Milf Hunters also moved level on points with the top two as they edged out Petr Cech Yourself by 5 goals to 4 in a thriller. Wins for So Sompting Crew and Breast Rummage Albion sees both move up a place in the table, Sompting up to fourth as they convincingly beat Maradona Kebab 6-2, whilst Breast won a classic game against Coman Her Face by 6 goals to 5!
