Sunday 27th March - Worthing Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some entertaining matches played as ever!

High Salvington Gentlemen were in five star form as they won their fifth game in a row to maintain their perfect start to the Premier Division campaign, they were 1-0 winners over Lahmageddon in a tightly contested game.  Fatzio remain just a point off the pace though and were in good form themselves, as they romped to a 5-1 win over The Tutt Experience, making it a mouth watering tie as the top two meet on Sunday 3rd April.

Real Le Sheet moved up a place to third after they were 3-1 victors over Weymouth Wanderers, whilst Unnamed FC picked up their first win of the season, beating The Rebels 4-1 to climb above them and out of the drop zone.

Division One leaders TTM suffered defeat for the first time this campaign, as She Was Only XI moved level on points with them after a 3-1 victory as the top two met.  The rest of the league is also close, with third placed Defeatables moving to within a point of the leaders as they were also 3-1 winners in their game against Only Matip In.  Mas Dog Academy dropped a place to fourth but are also only a point off the pace as they shared the spoils with Maradona Kebab in a 1-1 draw, whilst The Defeatables moved up to third place after a 3-1 victory against Only Matip In.

Posh and Becks Vier got back to winning ways this week after last weeks draw, they stay top of the Division Two table as they were convincing 6-2 winners against So Sompting Crew.  Rustys went into second place after a 4-1 win over Breast Rummidge Albion, whilst Sompting Dragons dropped to third after they lost a nine goal thriller against Inter Yanan 5-4.  Last but by no means least was Petr Cech Yourself's 16-2 mauling of bottom team Hakuna Juan Mata who are struggling for form this season, Cech taking full advantage of this as they move into fifth spot.

We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability and look forward to seeing everyone in attendance for game week 6 with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football!
