Sunday 24th March - Worthing Round-Up
It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all 24 teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night, across all three divisions.
In the Premier League, 6 Offenders held their ground to register a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Jong HSG in a nail-biting clash. Dynamo Chicken Kiev and LA Underdogs ended their match in a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams in need of a win in their next fixtures. Sompting Dragons managed to edge out An Average Bunch with a narrow 3-2 win, while SHE WAS ONLY XI outplayed Mc Bigwangs FC with a well-deserved 4-2 win.
In Division 1, Foreigners FC were rampant, thrashing Mary Slurps 6-1, with their striker leading the scoring charts for the division. Only Fools and Scorers proved too strong for GTJ FC, winning 2-0. Zindabad FC put on a masterclass, trouncing Otters FC 5-0, while SDL FC beat The Tutt Experience 4-2 in a high-scoring encounter.
Meanwhile in Division 2, Bosses Not Tosses registered a 5-3 win over Ballers Fc, and Hakuna Juan Mata produced an impressive 8-4 win over Coman Her Face. Just Matip triumphed over Victorious Secret, clinching a 5-2 victory, while Unnamed Kebab FC defeated The Cheeky Blinders 5-3.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LEAGUE WILL BE CANCELLED FOR ONE WEEK ON SUNDAY 31ST MARCH AS THE VENUE IS CLOSED DUE TO EASTER SUNDAY. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE BACK IN ATTENDANCE ON SUNDAY 7TH APRIL AS PER THE FIXTURES.
