KIDDERMINSTER TUESDAY LEAGUE 30/03/21 - NEW COVID GUIDELINES

Leisure Leagues are getting the nation moving again! We will be starting our brand new leagues as soon as possibly can and your area manager will be keeping you updated with any new information we receive.

We have changed a few rules in all of our leagues as your safety and the safety of our match officials is our priority. Please be aware of these when your new league kicks off, we can’t wait to get started!

The main differences in our leagues are as follows:

First, we will not be allowing you to warm up with our footballs. You must bring a ball from home for practice.

All teams must wear matching colours, there will be bibs if absolutely necessary and these will always be washed before the next game.

In addition, it is requested that all teams pay for games in advance using the website, as money is regarded as a spreader of the Covid-19 virus. Our website has been updated to enable any player rather than just the team captain to pay for the game, you will also be able to use Apple & Google pay shortly to make it as easy as possible for you and your team.

You will need to stay in your own ‘team groups’ and do not hand shake at the end of the match. Wash your hands before coming out to the league and as soon as you return home and also at the league if their is facility to do so.

Discipline at our leagues is already superb but we have communicated with all our referees to tell them of a permanent change to the rules, which will not allow you within 2m of any of our staff during the match – this will remain in place even after Covid-19 is no longer with us. If you do not adhere to this, we have instructed referees to issue a red card.

We have also written to referees to encourage them to enforce the 5m rule. That is the rule that we already have in place that sees instances of dissent – which we know are very rare anyway – punishable with an advancement of 5m.

The government has already given its unwavering commitment to getting the country fit again, Leisure Leagues is here to help you get your fitness levels back up and get you back out on the pitch to socialise with your mates again!

We look forward to seeing you kick off with us very soon. Please keep an eye on our social media for the very latest, click here for Facebook and here for Instagram.
