Sunday 6th July - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a mixed evening in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week, with non-attendances from two teams.  Haven't Got One Yet and Bar Snort failed to make contact with us and as a result have been replaced by two new teams.

We welcome new teams Poundland Bescot Bottlers, and Bayern Neverlosen to the league from Sunday 13th July, and we wish both good luck going into their first fixtures with us.

Two games took place in the Premier League division, each one a testament to the sporting prowess and tactical acumen of these local teams. Hednesford U5s, exhibiting a remarkable display of prowess and agility, clinched a victory over The Monks Crow-Knees. The final whistle sounded at a score of 2 - 0, solidifying Hednesford U5s' standing in the league.

In another thrilling encounter, Glass On Grass managed to edge past What Divock in a nail-biting finish. After a heart-racing back and forth, Glass On Grass emerged victorious with a scoreline of 4 - 3. This game was easily a highlight of the week, showcasing not only the physical abilities of the players but also their relentless spirit and determination.
