There was a double celebration this week as Bryn Bluebirds and PMK All-Stars were crowned champions of the 6-a-side leagues in Bridgend on Sunday.

Bryn Bluebirds (pictured) won division one, while PMK All-Stars won division two. Both teams received their trophies at a ceremony at Brackla Sports Centre, kicking off the new season.

Both teams are now in the top league, and as luck would have it, they played each other in their opening match of the new season, with PMK running out 4-0 winners.

Greg Allen, Area Manager for Leisure Leagues, congratulated both teams and praised the quality of the league and the facilities at Brackla Sports Centre. “We are delighted to see such strong competition and sportsmanship on display in our 6-a-side league in Bridgend. The players put in a tremendous effort every week, and it’s fantastic to see two deserving teams win their respective divisions.”

Allen also encouraged teams to join the league and emphasized that individual players are also welcome. “You don’t need a team to join our league.
