Thrills, spills and prizes –  as well as plenty of lager and cinnamon all over the place – as the Leisure Leagues Prize Draw hit its third month.

With its new shorter format and new time, the June Prize draw took place to an audience of thousands.

Two of the minor draws were pre – recorded in the afternoon, as the draw for the bottom of the league sides and the MVP were done in the office.

The winners of those were both from the same league, with playing Nuneaton Academy’s Sunday competition proving fruitful for both Unreal Madrid and the MVP winner Simon Bell, who is the skipper of Dixy Pigeons. Simon received a Nike Premier League quality ball, but Unreal had plenty to sing about as their spin on the wheel saw them get a Footie Anthems CD.

A few hours later it was time for the main draw – with the star prize again being a £12,00 holiday to Germany for the whole team, courtesy of our friends at UHLSPORT – but before the winners prize was handed out it was the turn of the runners up.

The second placed team pulled out were Ballotellitubbies of Solihull Wednesday, and their wheel landed on £150!

As the main prize wheel was prepared, there were the usual fun and games. This month saw a cinnamon eating challenge, with Leisure Leagues very own Jon D’Arcy winning (albeit, he suffered for the honour – as this video shows.)

As ever there was a chance for the watching thousands to win too, with Joe Monkman correctly guessing that Jon would be able to eat more cinnamon and Jordan Mason correctly guessing which infamous world cup moment we were recreating and both receive replica retro England tops.

With that all finished – and the cinnamon cleared safely away! – it was time for the main prize draw and Digger Men from Uttoxeter had 500 reasons to be glad to have entered instead of taking the trophies, as the money will be heading their way!
