League Spotlight: Kendal Rugby Club

One for our newest leagues – this Sunday will be third week of the first season in Kendal. The competition has quickly become the talk of the Lakeland town, with teams joining from all across the area.

With three divisions, there has been plenty of thrilling action so far, with Bin Laden’s Barmy Amy at the top of the Premier League with two wins out of two. Staveley Albion are the only team to have won both games in division one, while at the other end of things, Swill FC are yet to pick up a point.

Sedburgh Boys and Bizzle Boys form the deadly duo at the top of division two, but it was Joga Bonito who have taken the eye for perhaps the best individual display, as they beat Dior Boys 9-1.

No doubt, though, with eight weeks to go before the season ends, there will be plenty of changes between now and early April when the trophies are given out.
