Players from across the Leisure Leagues network will be jetting to Croatia this weekend for a major international 6 a side tournament.
The new look England team began their training recently with the first squad get-together under the new management team of Henry Muggeridge and Arjun Jung, now they will be looking to put their fresh ideas into practice in the Adria Cup.
The three-team tournament will provide a stiff test for England as the other two competitors, Croatia and former World Champions, Germany, are recognised as amongst the best small sided teams around.
”It certainly will be a great pleasure, but also a big challenge to play against such strong teams. We have some injuries within our players, but we will certainly gather a good team and we will do our best to achieve a good result in this tournament. I’m glad that we are host of such a great event and I hope everybody will feel comfortable in Croatia”, said Željko Ostrman, coach of Croatian national team.
All six matches of Adria Cup will be broadcasted live on Croatian national television SPTV and live stream will be available as well.Back to Blog
