THRILLING NIGHT IN BRIDGEND 6 A SIDE

Bridgend College’s Monday 6-a-side league came to a thrilling conclusion this week, with teams battling it out to secure their final positions in the league.

In one of the most pivotal evenings in the history of the league, there was something riding on nearly all the matches. In the Premier League, The Champions lived up to their name by securing the title after a resounding 7-1 victory over Black Chicken. Meanwhile, Clwb Brewers finished in second place after defeating Joga Bonito 4-2. The battle to avoid relegation was equally intense, with Gangsters Allardyce managing to secure their top-flight status after a hard-fought 3-2 win over Moe Leicester, who will now be playing in division one.

Over in division one, IsYourMotherwell (pictured) had already secured the title despite suffering a 3-1 defeat to relegated Pique Blinders. Greenacre secured their promotion to the Premier League after winning their final game, which means they will be playing against some of the best teams in the league next season.

In division two, Route 1 Llan managed to clinch the title by a single point after a thrilling 2-2 draw with Rustlers Burgers. The game was a fitting end to an exciting season, with both teams giving it their all on the pitch.

Speaking after the final matches, area manager Greg Allen praised the dedication and skill of all the teams involved in the league. “It’s been another fantastic season, with plenty of exciting matches and great performances from all the teams. I’d like to congratulate The Champions on their Premier League title, as well as IsYourMotherwell and Route 1 Llan for their success in divisions one and two respectively.”
