PANTHERS SHOW THEIR BALLS IN THE LEISURE LEAGUES PRIZE GIVEAWAY

ADASC Panthers last night took delivery of the £500 worth of footballs they received in the Leisure Leagues prize giveaway. The team, who play in the Alfreton 6-a-side league, were runners-up in the April prize draw.

ADASC Panthers are a team of friends who have been playing in the Alfreton 6 a side league since it kicked off six months ago.

Area Manager Carita Morris congratulated the team and said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have given ADASC Panthers this prize. It’s a great boost for the league, which has been one of our best since it started last Autumn.

The Leisure Leagues prize giveaway is a monthly competition that gives teams a chance to win a variety of prizes, including footballs, kits, and equipment. The competition is open to all teams who win or finish runners-up in Leisure Leagues leagues across the UK.

The Leisure Leagues Prize Giveaway happens on social media on the first Tuesday of every month. The top prize is a holiday to Benidorm for the whole team!

Away from the prizes, Alfreton 6-a-side League continues to grow, with a third division set to kick off soon. The league, which is played at Sleetmoor United Football Club, has been running for just six months but has already seen over 500 local men and women playing regularly.

Area Manager Carita Morris said: “We’re delighted with the success of the league so far. The facilities at Sleetmoor are fantastic, and the community has really embraced the league. We’re always looking for new teams to join, so if you’re interested, please get in touch.”

The league is currently split into two divisions, with each division playing 10 games over a 10-week season.

This week, 5ive 6ix stayed top of the table despite a 3-3 draw with the aforementioned ADASC Panthers. SOFC lead the way in division two and are yet to drop a point after thumping FC Misfits 6-0.

The league has been a huge success for the local community, providing a much-needed outlet for people of all ages over 16 and all abilities to get active and have fun.

“It’s great to see so many people getting involved in the league,” said Morris. “It’s a great way to meet new people, get fit, and have some fun. We’re always looking for new teams and players to join, so if you’re interested, please get in touch.”

The league is open to anyone over 16, and you do not need a team to join, and there are teams for both men and women. It is free to enter.

The league resumes on the 15th May after the bank holidays. Teams and players can use the following link to join: https://www.leisureleagues.net/league/sleetmoor-united-football-club/alfreton-monday/?ref_c=ztxCzgKEiGx6
