PURFLEET 6 A SIDE LEAGUE KICKS OFF IN STYLE

The brand new 6 a side league in Purfleet kicked off in fine style this week with a flurry of goals on the first night at Harris Academy, Riverside.

BSM proved to be the main driving force, getting their campaign underway with a thrilling 5-0 victory over Albasinnians, to take an early lead at the top of the table.

It is too early to tell, of course, whether BSM will be a team to beat throughout a campaign that runs until April, but we can  say for certain that the standard will be high.

Two other teams are vying for the lead, as Ain’t Got A Kalou found the way to goal and saw off Man Chest Hair City by what looked like a routine – but in reality was anything but – 4-2 win.

Thurrock Tigers complete the first day winning trio, as they saw off Drippy Drippy 3-1.

The action continues next Sunday and, as they say in boxing rings, somebody’s O has got to go as Tigers take on Kalou and City face BSM.

There is still room for new teams to join the league, click here: https://www.leisureleagues.net/league/harris-academy-riverside/purfleet-sunday to do that.  The very best players could find themselves playing for the England 6 a side team in the world cup, as Leisure Leagues holds the UK National Teams license.
