Leisure Leagues 6-a-side league in Ashton-under-Lyne invites individuals and players to join their Sunday league for free, with spaces available for the upcoming season. The league, which runs throughout the summer, provides an excellent opportunity for football enthusiasts to showcase their skills and love for the beautiful game. Since it began almost a decade ago, the competition has always been a platform for hundreds of locals to participate and demonstrate their talent, and this year’s Ashton-under-Lyne league is no different.

Adam Glover, Area Manager for Leisure Leagues, praised the town’s incredible football heritage, highlighting the fact that the town has produced three World Cup winners, including Geoff Hurst, Jimmy Armfield, and Simone Perotta (whose statue is pictured above). Glover said, “Ashton-under-Lyne has a rich footballing history, and we are excited to continue that legacy by providing a platform for local players to showcase their talent.
