Monday 27th January - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week once again with all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled across all three divisions.

Skillage In The Village moved to the top of a very congested Premier Division by the skin of their teeth after they won 2-1 against Sporting Bad Haircuts whilst Harchester lost by the same scoreline against Beaky Blinders.  Those results mean Skillage are top by 4 goals scored whilst only one point separates all three.

In Division One Fred West Ham continue to lead the way and remain three points clear of their nearest competition at the halfway stage of the campaign.  They were 3-0 winners against Chase Young Boys although second placed Dominos and third placed Cannock Spartans also won their matches to stay in the hunt.

Game of the night was definitely in Division Two as HHSB won an end to end game against Real Hasbeen's, 7-6 the full time score in a game that saw some great strikes throughout.  Ultimately though, it keeps HHSB in the promtion race as they remain second and a point off TheKettyCabbage who were 7-0 winners over Sevilla Lacatalent.  VTS also remain in the promotion hunt after their 6-1 thrashing of Dynamofuktherest on their final game in the league.
