It was a good start to the season overall in the Cannock and Hednesford Monday 6 a side league, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring two, Game Set and Snatch, and Red Hot Chilli Knackers, both of which are due to return next week.
In the Premier League, Thiago X Silva exemplified their dominance with a 5-1 victory over Between The Spreadsheets, while Sevilla Depression secured a 2-0 win against Coddy Connections. Nevertheless, the match of the night was between MDMaccies FC and Hmp, with the latter emerging victorious after a nail-biting 2-1 game.
The Division 1 fixtures saw the Aston Villagers edge out The Special Ones 3-2 in a highly contested match. Tekkerslovakia showed their prowess with a 5-2 win against BC, while Pink Panthers and Pathetico Madrid finished with a 0-0 draw.
Over in Division 2, Villains FC squeezed past Ayden B with a 4-3 victory. The Arcade Cannock and Cash Out And Cry ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw, while Koch In Dias triumphed over Pjanic At The Isco with a 6-3 win.
However, the star of the night was undoubtedly Will Morgan from Tekkerslovakia. His exemplary performance on the pitch earned him the title of the league's most valued player for the week. His skill, precision, and leadership demonstrated on the field played a crucial part in Tekkerslovakia's 5-2 win against BC.
