Monday 12th December - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring a couple of late cancellations, we do however look forward to seeing FC Lloret De Mar and Rugeley Massive back in attendance on Monday 19th December.

In the Premier Division, Harchester United made it two wins in a row as they were 2-1 winners over newly promoted BarSportelona in a well contested game, whilst the other two games in the division were very entertaining encounters, with 3-2 wins for River Plate over Athletico Gem Carpets, and Aston Villagers against Bridge Rejects.

In Division One, Sevilla Depressions second win on the bounce came in emphatic fashion as they blew away Ayden B by 10 goals to 1 in a superb performance, whilst Thiago X Silva shared a point a piece with Tekkerslovakia in a match that ended 1 apiece.  Everyone else in the division has lost at least one of their opening two in what promises to be another competitive season, Sporting Bad Haircuts 5-1 win over Harriers and Socks 2-1 win against Karius saw both put their first win of the season on the board.

Allison Wonderland have got off to a flying start in Division Two as they ran out 7-1 winners over It was Just Matip, scoring 16 goals in just two games so far, whilst Madeleine Milan also look impressive so far this term, a 7-1 win over new boys Xavi Dodgers sees them sit on maximum points having scored 12 goals themselves so far.  Baines on Toast came back from 2 goals down to record a 3-2 win over The Arcade Cannock with a last minute winner to cap a thrilling game, whilst The Swan FC edged past The Special Ones by a single goal to complete the divisions action in another well competed game.

Pathetico Madrid were superb in front of goal this week as they put Spartans to the sword by 11 goals to nil to claim their second win on the bounce, whilst Beacon Bombs overcame Koch In Dias by 8 goals to 7 in an end to end thriller!
