Monday 13th December - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent football played across all three divisions.

Harchester United made it 4 wins in as many games as they ran out 2-0 winners in their match against Beaky Blinders who also had a perfect record going into this, they now sit two points off the pace.  Aston Villagers moved up to third place following their 5-0 win, and above Sporting Bad Haircuts on goal difference who were beaten 2-1 by Skillage In The Village who got their first victory of the season.  Cannock Young Boys climbed out of the drop zone with a 3-0 victory in their game against Club Bates who drop to fourth with that result.  Game of the evening in the division was the end to end encounter between Thiago X Silva and Karius to Glory which ended 3 goals each.

Division One is lead by Athletico Gem Carpets who recorded their fourth win in a row with a 3-1 win over Bridge Rejects, whilst Cannockbis Dank Council moved up to second place with their impressive 6-1 victory over Borussia Teeth.  The Swan continued their impressive start to life in the league as they picked up their second win in three matches, a convincing 3-0 win over Allison Wonderland their latest triumph.

The second v bottom clash in Division Two threw up few surprises this week as PG dominated Lallanas in Pyjamas by a 9-1 scoreline, keeping them a point off the league leaders Red Hot Chilli Knackers, who won their fourth consecutive game of the season, they were 4-0 victors in their match against It Was Just Matip.  Elsewhere new boys River Plated looked in impressive form this week as they brushed aside Pathetico Madrid, also by 4 goals to nil.  A very late goal by Harriers was enough to salvage a point for them against The Special Ones, with Harriers coming back from 2 goals down to draw 2-2.
