Monday 13th June - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance with the exception of Beaky Blinders, who've now been removed with immediate effect.

Peasports continue on the tails of Harchester United who they remain level on points with at the top, they were 3-1 winners over Sporting Bad Haircuts this week.  Aston Villagers moved up to third place, leapfrogging Skillage in the table after running out 3-0 winners over them this week, whilst Cannock Young Boys edged nearer to safety and moved level on points with third bottom Cannockbis Dank Council, winning 3-1 against them this week.

Division One leaders River Plate were held to a 1-1 draw by Athletico Gem Carpets this week in a well contested game.  Second placed PG and third placed Borussia Teeth moved to within two points of the leaders, PG were 5-2 victors against Thiago X Silva, and Borussia came out on top against Nice to Michu in a game that ended 4-1.  Karius to Glory completed the action in the division, they were 2-0 winners over Club Bates to move two points clear of the drop zone.

Division Two's results favoured leaders Bridge Rejects who won a 10 goal game against Harriers by 7 goals to 3, they now have a two point lead from second place, as Sevilla Depression dropped to third after losing 3-2 against BarSportelone, whilst Allison Wonderland drew 1-1 with The Special Ones to move into second spot on goal difference.  The Swan FC remain pointless after this week as they lost the battle of the bottom two 3-1 against The Arcade Cannock who continue their bid for survival.

Division Three leaders It Was Just Matip were pushed all the way by Lallanas In Pyjamas this week but eventually ran out 3-2 winners to keep their single point lead over Real Sosobad in second, who continue to push hard for top spot, they were comfortable 4-1 winners against Bazikstan FC this week.  Red Hot Chilli Knackers stay in the thick of the promotion battle, they remain third and were convincing 7-2 winners over Beacon Bombs this week to stay a point off second and two off the lead.  Sheffield Monday got their first points of the campaign and showed character to bounce back from a heavy defeat last week, they were 1-0 winners over Pathetico Madrid this week.
