Monday 15th May - Cannock Round-Up

An excellent return to the Cannock and Hednesford Monday 6 a side league this week, as we returned to action following a two week hiatus owing to Bank Holiday Monday's.  We were delighted to get back into the swing of things and saw some fantastic matches played across all four divisions.

Premier Division:

In an exciting clash between league debutants, WE ARE BAD, and the formidable HARCHESTER UNITED, both teams showcased their skills in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Despite their name, WE ARE BAD proved they were anything but as they battled it out with determination. HARCHESTER UNITED put up a strong fight, but the new kids on the block held their ground, earning themselves a well-deserved point.

The BRIDGE REJECTS clashed with KARIUS TO GLORY in a match filled with suspense. The teams showcased their prowess on the field, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. The BRIDGE REJECTS may have been rejected elsewhere, but on this night, they showed their true potential, proving they are a force to be reckoned with. KARIUS TO GLORY displayed their resilience, fighting tooth and nail to secure a valuable point.

In a high-scoring spectacle, ATHLETICO GEM CARPETS UNITED faced off against the reigning champions, SKILLAGE IN THE VILLAGE. Despite their best efforts, ATHLETICO GEM CARPETS UNITED fell short against the unstoppable force that is SKILLAGE IN THE VILLAGE. The current champions continued their dominating run, securing a remarkable 6-2 victory, making it their fifth consecutive win. It seems there is no end to their skill and determination as they march confidently at the top of the league.

The ASTON VILLAGERS and TEKKERSLOVAKIA engaged in a tense battle, with both teams eager to claim the victory. In a tightly contested match, it was the ASTON VILLAGERS who emerged triumphant with a narrow 1-0 win. The villagers proved their mettle and showed great tenacity, leaving TEKKERSLOVAKIA with a bitter taste of defeat.


Division One:

HARRIERS faced a daunting challenge as they squared off against THE SWAN FC. Despite their best efforts, HARRIERS found themselves overwhelmed by the skill and precision of THE SWAN FC. The Swans soared high, securing an impressive 7-0 victory and solidifying their position in second place. HARRIERS, although outmatched on this occasion, must regroup and come back stronger in the next match.

In a clash between NEVILLE WEARS PRADA and THE ARCADE CANNOCK, it was NEVILLE WEARS PRADA who displayed their fashion-forward football skills. With a solid performance, they emerged victorious with a convincing 2-0 win. THE ARCADE CANNOCK put up a valiant effort, but ultimately, they were unable to overcome the sartorial excellence of their opponents.

BARSPORTELONA took on THIAGO X SILVA in a match filled with flair and finesse. BARSPORTELONA's players showcased their technical prowess, leaving their opponents in awe. With a dominant display, BARSPORTELONA secured a resounding 4-1 victory. THIAGO X SILVA fought hard, but they were unable to tame the talented Barportelona side.


Division Two:

PARIS GANJA MAN and RED HOT CHILLI KNACKERS ignited the field with their fiery encounter. In a goal-laden match, PARIS GANJA MAN proved to be too hot to handle for their opponents. With a spectacular performance, they triumphed with a commanding 6-2 win. The RED HOT CHILLI KNACKERS fought hard, but they couldn't extinguish the blazing form of their rivals.

MADELINE MILAN, the league leaders, continued their impressive campaign as they faced SMOKEHOUSE ATHLETIC. With their fourth win in five matches, MADELINE MILAN demonstrated their superiority on

the field, emerging victorious with a convincing 4-1 scoreline. SMOKEHOUSE ATHLETIC put up a spirited fight but couldn't halt the dominant march of the league leaders.

KOCH IN DIAS engaged in a nail-biting battle against SOCKS. In a thrilling encounter, KOCH IN DIAS managed to scrape through with a narrow 4-3 victory. The match showcased the intensity and competitive spirit of both teams, with KOCH IN DIAS ultimately emerging as the victors. SOCKS put up a spirited fight and can take pride in their performance, despite falling short.

In a one-sided affair, ADI CANNOCK faced off against THE SPECIAL ONES. ADI CANNOCK proved to be the standout team on the night, delivering a remarkable display of skill and precision. With an astounding 8-1 victory, ADI CANNOCK showcased their dominance and left THE SPECIAL ONES in awe of their prowess.


Division Three:

GANGSTERS ALLARDYCE clashed with IT WAS JUST MATIP in a battle of grit and determination. In a closely contested match, IT WAS JUST MATIP managed to edge ahead, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory. GANGSTERS ALLARDYCE fought valiantly but were unable to outwit their opponents, leaving the pitch with a sense of disappointment.

DIJK IN DIAS showcased their defensive prowess as they faced NETSIX AND CHILL. In a match filled with excitement, DIJK IN DIAS demonstrated their strength, emerging victorious with an impressive 6-2 win. NETSIX AND CHILL put up a valiant effort, but the solid defense of DIJK IN DIAS proved impenetrable.

BEACON BOMBS and PATHETICO MADRID engaged in a battle that ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Both teams showcased their determination and resilience, resulting in a tightly contested match. Despite their best efforts, neither team could secure the elusive winning goal, leaving them to share the spoils.

AYDEN B, the league leaders, continued their impressive run as they faced SET 8 BALLERS. AYDEN B displayed their exceptional skills and teamwork, overwhelming their opponents with a five-star performance. With a resounding 5-1 victory, AYDEN B extended their winning streak to five matches, solidifying their position at the top of the league.
