Monday 17th May - Cannock Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week with all 32 teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled across all four divisions.

Beaky Blinders dropped points for the first time this campaign as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villagers who've enjoyed a reasonable start to life in the Premier Division since joining.  Wins for Sporting Bad Haircuts and Harchester United see them move to within a point of the summit with the Beaky result in mind, whilst Tottenham Hotsperm were also held to a draw by another new team in the form of Puyol Pants Up, as the Premier Division seems to be shaping up nicely.

Classtro Turf stay at the top of Division One as they ran out 2-0 winners over Hawkins, who drop to fourth place due to wins for Karius To Glory (2-1 against First Choice) and Sporting Gibson (2-0 against Tekkerslovakia).  Club Bates moved from the foot of the table after an impressive 3-0 win over Thiago X Silva.

Cheslyn Hay FC remain on maximum points after four games, they dished out a 6-2 hammering to It Was Just Matip to continue their goal scoring exploits in the early stages of the campaign, where they are averaging over 5 goals a game.  Is Your Motherwell and Pathetico Madrid were winners in their matches and both closely follow the top team, as they sit just two points off the pace.  Athletico Gem Carpets and Dominos also played out an entertaining game which ended 2-2.

The Special Ones lead the way in a Division Two table which is finely at this early stage, they were 5-3 winners over Win Some You Booze Some in an entertaining encounter.  The Arcade Cannock were 4-1 winners over Norfolk In Chance in a professional performance which sees them sit joint top and just a point behind the leaders.  Elsewhwere 2 Girls 1 Schlupp ran out 5-2 winners against new team to the league Substandard Liege who were playing only their second game in the league.  New team Bridge Rejects joined this week and got off to a flying start with a 3-0 win against Red Hot Chilli Knackers in a dominant performance.

We wish all teams good luck going into game week 5 with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football!
