Monday 20th February - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across the divisions.

Premier Division leaders Skillage In The Village took a knock this week as Bridge Rejects shocked them with a 3-2 reverse, letting second placed Harchester right back into the title race as they edged past Neville Wears Prada by the same scoreline.  Elsewhere Foley Kings put 3 past Aston Villagers without reply as their form continues to improve.  Gem Carpets moved up to third but had to settle for a point as they drew 3-3 with Barsportelona.

Division One opened back up a bit as leaders Sevilla Depression were shocked 2-0 by Thiago X Silva this week, their lead cut to three points as second placed Sporting Bad Haircuts ran out 5-0 winners over Smokehouse, and third placed Tekkerslovakia were 2-0 winners over Socks.  Karius To Glory also kept themselves in the promotion hunt as they edged past Harriers by 2 goals to 1.

Division Two leaders Madeleine Milan got a 5-2 win over Special Ones this week, and had to ensure they got maximum points as the chasing pack continue to hunt them down.  Second placed Arcade Cannock grabbed a 2-1 win over Allison Wonderland, and third placed Swan FC were 4-0 winners against Matip.  ADI Cannock completed the action for the division and claimed back to back wins as this week they overcame Xavi Dodgers 3-2 in another tight game.

In Division Three the table remains largely unchanged, the top two winning again this week as Red Hot Chilli Knackers were 2-0 victors over Lallanas In Pyjamas and an in form Koch In Dias edged out Gangsters Allardyce 4-3.  Elsewhere Pathetico Madrid moved up to third at the expense of this weeks opponents Beacon Bombs who they edged past 2-1.  Completing the action was Ayden B who ground out a 1-0 win against Set 8 Ballers.
