Monday 22nd November - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, including two new teams who played their first fixtures with us.

The Swan FC on their debut in Division One ran out 3-2 winners over Bridge Rejects, an impressive result in their first match in the league! Elsewhere PG played their first match in Division Two and also looked impressive, hammering Harriers by a 4-0 scoreline.

Harchester United made it two wins in a row in the Premier Division this week, as they sealed a 2-0 win over Cheslyn Hay FC in a tightly contested game.  Sporting Bad Haircuts got their season up and running, following up their defeat last week with a 3-2 win against Thiago X Silva in an entertaining encounter.  Club Bates returned to action after missing last week, they secured a 3-1 victory against Aston Villagers, whilst Karius To Glory won a thrilling game by a 3-2 scoreline against Cannock Young Boys.

Cannockbis Dank Council got their second win in succession as they were 2-0 victors over Allison Wonderland.  Athletico Gem Carpets and Borussia Teeth also keep up their perfect starts to the campaign, Gem Carpets sealing a hard fought 2-1 win over Dominos, and Borussia Teeth won an entertaining game against Demba 9 Bar.

Red Hot Chilli Knackers impressive start to the Division Two campaign continues, they were 2-1 winners over a young Lallanas In Pyjamas side to be the only team on maximum points in the league.  Pathetico Madrid's unbeaten start to the season continued but they could only manage a point this week, as they and It Was Just Matip shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

We are delighted to welcome another new team to the action this week!  We wish River Plate good luck going into their first fixture on Monday 29th November in Division Two!
