Monday 23rd May - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across all four divisions as scheduled.

The top two remains the same in the Premier Division as Harchester United were comfortable 5-1 winners over Aston Villagers, and Peasports won a high tempo game against Cannockbis Dank Council by 2 goals to 1.  A late equaliser for Sporting Bad Haircuts rescued them a 2-2 draw against Beaky Blinders to keep them in third place, whilst Skillage In The Village were 2-1 winners over Cannock Young Boys.

Division One leaders River Plate collected their fourth win in five matches this week as they were 2-0 winners over Club Bates to remain a point clear of second placed PG, who were also winners this week, beating Karius to Glory 3-2 in an entertaining match.  Borussia Teeth stay in third, and level with PG on points, they were 4-2 winners over Thiago X Silva, whilst game of the night in the division was a 4-4 thriller between Athletico Gem Carpets and Nice to Michu.

Top of Division Two Bridge Rejects were beaten for the first time this season as their winning start came to an abrupt end thanks to The Special Ones who ran out 4-1 winners.  Second placed Allison Wonderland were unable to capitalise on this though as they were beaten 4-3 by Sevilla Depression who now move level on points with the top two teams.  Harriers moved up to fourth place as they picked up a 3-2 win over The Arcade Cannock, whilst the battle of the bottom two turned out to be game of the night in the division as Barsportelona were 7-5 victors in a 12 goal thriller over The Swan FC who are still in search of their first point.

Division Three tightened up at the top as leaders Just Matip were beaten 3-2 by Real Sosobad who sit in third and move within a point of the top two places, with second placed Red Hot Chilli Knackers moving level on points with the leaders after a 6-1 hammering of Sheffield Monday.  It was honours even in the other two games of the night as Pathetico Madrid and Bazikstan drew 2-2 and Lallanas In Pyjamas drew 1-1 with Beacon Bombs to complete the action.
