Monday 31st January - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some entertaining games played across all three divisions as ever.

Harchester United stay top of the Premier Division but were made to work hard for the points this week as they came up against Cannock Young Boys, running out winners in a nine goal thriller which finished 5-4.  Beaky Blinders remain hot on their tails and are just a single goal off the leaders, tied on points as they were 1-0 winners against Karius to Glory.  Third placed Skillage also won by a single goal in their match against Thiago X Silva as they try and keep pace with the top two, whilst fourth placed Aston Villagers also came out 2-0 winners in their game against Sporting Bad Haircuts, the former champions languishing just above the drop zone so far this campaign.

Cannockbis Dank Council extended their lead at the top of Division One to four points as they met The Swan FC who were second before kick off, Cannockbis recording a 2-0 win.  Peasports moved up to second with this result as they won a thrilling match against Allison Wonderland with 6-3 the final score.  Bridge Rejects also picked up an impressive result, dropping Borussia Teeth down to fourth place with a convincing 3-1 win.
