Monday 31st October - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring a late cancellation from Borussia Teeth in Division One, they return to action on Monday 7th November.

Skillage In The Village took no prisoners this week as the Premier Division leaders romped to a 19-0 victory over new boys Spartans to boost their already superior goal difference as they hunt down the title!  Second placed Aston Villagers know they'll need to better two of the leaders results in the final three matches which looks a tough task, but the second placed team do their best to keep up with the leaders as they ran out 4-1 winners over Athletico Gem Carpets.  Harchester came up against another new team this week, they beat Socks 4-3 in a superbly competed game, whilst River Plate remain in fourth after a 2-1 win over FC Crown.

Division One remains tight at both ends of the table as league leaders SBFC shared a point with third placed Sevilla Depression in a game that ended 1-1, although second placed Sporting Bad Haircuts were unable to capitalise on this and suffered a 2-0 reverse to Madeleine Milan who climb out of the drop zone with that result.  Fifth placed Karius To Glory remain a point off the promotion places as four teams are separated by a point, they were 4-1 winners over Tekkerslovakia.

Barsportelona were 2-1 winners over Thiago X SIlva as the already crowned champions go for the next milestone which is an unbeaten campaign.  Second place remains all to play for though as third to sixth are split by two points, It Was Just Matip now occupy second after a hard fought 3-2 win over Rugeley Massive, whilst The Special Ones drop to third after a 2-1 defeat against Harriers.  Bottom of the table Baines on Toast completed the action with a well earned 4-2 victory against Allison Wonderland to dent the latters promotion hopes.

The Swan FC remain top of the Division Three pile as they ran out comfortable 8-1 winners over Lallana's In Pyjamas this week, whilst Beacon Bombs thrashed new boys Lloret De Mar 9-1 to move up to second on goal difference, despite The Arcade Cannock's 3-1 victory over Pathetico Madrid they drop a place to third.  Koch In Dias still have an outside chance of promotion as the fourth placed team won a five goal thriller over Red Hot Chilli Knackers by 3 goals to 2.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment and wish all good luck going into game week 12 with Cannock's premier providers of small sided football!
