Monday 4th December - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock and Hednesford Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled across the four divisions.

Unfortunately due to their conduct, Old Boys Like have been removed from the league with immediate effect.  This follows repeated disciplinary issues despite being warned on more than one occasion.  We will not tolerate foul and abusive language towards our match officials, nor threatening behaviour towards opposing players in any of our leagues.  Both of these were on display from this team which led to their match abandonment.

On a positive note, we welcome new team Tradies FC to the league as a replacement for the above, wishing them good luck in their first fixture on Monday 11th December as they face Beacon Bombs.

In the Premier League division, Athletico Gem Carpets United showed their dominance with a convincing 5-1 victory over Harchester United, asserting their position at the top. The Swan FC didn't disappoint either, defeating Neville Wears Prada 4-2 in a gripping encounter. The closest match of the night was between Demba9ba and Karius To Glory, with Demba9ba walking away with a narrow 3-2 win. Skillage In The Village suffered a defeat at the hands of Sevilla Depression, losing 2-1.

Division 1 saw Aston Villagers and BarSportelona emerge victorious against Predators Fc and Red Hot Chilli Knackers respectively, both winning 3-2 and 3-1. We Are Bad and Socks ended in a 1-1 draw, while Tekkerslovakia secured a 2-0 win over The Arcade Cannock.

Moving down to Division 2, the night belonged to Koch In Dias and Colonel Getafe who triumphed over Ayden B and TwoMenFarmers with scores of 4-3 and 4-0 respectively, a last gasp goal for Koch sealing a win in a thrilling encounter. Thiago X Silva defeated Murder On Zidanes Floor with a 3-0 margin and The Special Ones fell to Pathetico Madrid 2-0.

In Division 3, MDMaccies FC pulled off an impressive win against Bargain Boyz , scoring 3 without reply. Sevilla Lacatalent fell to Gangsters Allardyce 2-1 on their league debut and Beacon Bombs was edged out by No Cap Jack FC 3-2, another debutant team who look a useful addition.

We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock and Hednesford's premier providers of small sided football!
