Monday 6th June - Cannock Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Cannock Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring Beaky Blinders who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Monday 13th June.

Harchester United ground out a 2-1 win over Cannock Young Boys to remain top of the table, whilst Peasports sit a goal behind the leaders after their 5-0 win.  Skillage In The Village recent revival continues as they moved into third place with a convincing 5-1 win over Sporting Bad Haircuts who they leapfrog in the table, whilst Aston Villagers also moved up to fourth spot with a 2-0 win over Cannockbis Dank Council.

River Plate's sixth win in seven and fourth win in a row keeps them top of the Division One table as they cruised to a 4-1 victory over Thiago X Silva, moving them three points clear of the chasing pack, as three teams are tied on nine points behind them.  Second placed PG were beaten 4-3 by Borussia Teeth in an entertaining game as Borussia move level on points with this weeks opponents, whilst Athletico Gem Carpets also move on to nine points with a disciplined performance, running out 2-0 winners against Karius To Glory.  Elsewhere Club Bates picked up their first win of the season as they were 3-2 winners over Nice to Michu in an entertaining game.

Division Two saw plenty of goals as Bridge Rejects and Sevilla Depression moved into the top two after they shared the spoils in a thrilling encounter which ended 5-5!  That result coupled with Allison Wonderland's surprise 3-0 defeat to Harriers sees them drop to third place and out of the top two.  The Special Ones remain on the periphery of the top three, they were 3-0 winners over The Swan FC as they continue to chase down promotion, whilst Barsportelona moved out of the bottom two at the expense of The Arcade Cannock who they beat 5-3 in another thrilling game.

It Was Just Matip got their sixth win in seven games to stay top of Division Three, they were 3-1 winners against Pathetico Madrid, whilst Real Sosobad moved into the top two ahead of Red Hot Chilli Knackers who they edged past by 2 goals to 1.  Bazikstan FC moved up to fifth place after a convincing 3-0 win over Lallanas In Pyjamas, last but not least was the Beacon Bombs 15-0 mauling over Sheffield Monday in a shock result as the bottom two met, Beacon move up a place and significantly reduce the arrears in their goal difference.
