Monday 7th August - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock and Hednesford Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance across all divisions as usual, and some fine football on display.

The evening was marred however, by the need to remove Madeleine Milan from the league following their abusive and threatening behaviour towards our officials.  We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour in any form, and will ban any individuals or teams who overstep the mark with our officials.

In the Premier League division, AFC Hednesford Rejects secured a 4-2 victory against The Swan FC, coming back from 2-1 down to claim an impressive victory.  Athletico Gem Carpets United faced a tough challenge against Harchester United, who emerged victorious with a commanding 3-0 win. Meanwhile, Karius To Glory showcased their skills in a 4-1 triumph over Aston Villagers.  Skillage In The Village and Tekkerslovakia played out an exciting 2-2 draw, with both teams displaying exceptional talent, Tekkerslovakia grabbing a deserved equaliser with just a minute to play.

Division 1 witnessed high-scoring encounters, as Red Hot Chilli Knackers prevailed over Colonel Getafe in a thrilling 5-3 victory. Neville Wears Prada dominated on the field, securing an emphatic 7-1 win against Murder On Zidanes Floor, while Sevilla Depression showcased their attacking prowess in a 2-0 triumph over We Are Bad.

Division 2 showcased some tightly contested matches, with Koch In Dias emerging as the winners against Ayden B with a 2-1 scoreline. McCaffies Fc secured a 4-2 victory against Beacon Bombs, and BarSportelona and Paris Ganja Man played out an intense 1-1 draw. Thiago X Silva displayed resilience and determination, clinching a narrow 3-2 win against Socks.

Quantum FC showcased their attacking prowess against Bazikstan FC, triumphing with an impressive 6-3 scoreline. The Special Ones displayed their skill and teamwork in a 4-1 victory over Set 8 Ballers.

We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league, and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures, and game week 3 of the season with Cannock and Hednesford's premier and exclusive small sided football provider.
