Sunday 12th February - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across both divisions which was pleasing to see, including the return of It Just Got Messi who came into the Premier Division, losing their return game 5-1 to Snorting Wizbon as they find their feet after some time away.

Leaders Stroke Titty remain at the summit after this weeks action, they edged past Diadora FC by a single goal to stay top of the pile, they are joined by We Kante Win in second place who move level on points with the top team after edging past Team Maestro whom they leapfrog in the table after running out 4-3 winners.  Fub FC and 01543 FC had to settle for a point apiece this week in the relegation battle as neither were able to strike the killer blow to their opponent, 1-1 the full time result.

Such is the closeness at the top of Division One, a 5-0 win for Norfolk In Chance over Hednesford saw them move above their rivals Ayden FC despite them winning 5-3 against Leavemyarselona in an entertaining game, goal difference the key after these results, and the leaders have a three goal advantage.  Put It In Dias moved into third place as they remain in the promotion hunt, they overcame a recently out of form Master Haters who they beat 2-1 in a close game, the losing team dropping to fourth after this result and a second straight loss.  Breast Rummage Albion look better off in this division and they got a superb 5-1 win over ACFC this week as they settle into their new league.
