Sunday 23rd January - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled.  We were pleased to welcome new team 'Sponsored Breaks' to the league this week, they played out an entertaining game against second placed Team Maestro, who eventually ran out 4-2 winners, an encouraging start for the new team who ran one of the top teams close.

Its Just Got Messi all but sealed the title this week, another point will make it official, they were impressive 6-3 winners over Dynamo Fuktherest who drop to third place, whilst Diadora FC's 3-1 win over Stroke Titty seems them move clear of the drop zone by 2 points.  

FUB FC are now outright leaders in Division One, as they were emphatic 7-1 winners over Double Pogba and Koke, whilst Dingles Reunited suffered a second defeat on the bounce to drop out of the promotion places, they were beaten 2-0 by Pique Blinders.  We Kante Win sneaked into the second promotion place as their recent upturn in form sees them the form team at this stage of the campaign, they were 3-0 winners over Per Vertesacker, their fourth win on the bounce.  01543 complete the trio of teams who are locked on 18 points, as it looks like one of three who will take the second promotion spot.
