Sunday 4th February - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some well competed matches played.

We are pleased to confirm the addition of Bosnich Boys to the league from Sunday 11th February, and wish the debutants good luck in their first game against AC McCann.


On the pitch, in the Premier League, FC G&T proved too potent for 01543 FC, running away with a convincing 5-1 victory. The real surprise came from the match between Murder On Zidanes Floor and Diadora FC, with the latter edging a narrow 2-1 victory. AC McCann also managed a tight 2-1 win against PBDL FC. However, the week belonged to Team Maestro who put on a goal fest, defeating Snorting Wizbon 5-2. With these results, Team Maestro has taken a considerable lead in the goal-scoring tally with a total of 5 goals.


Moving on to Division 1, Adi Cannock showed their dominance over Hednesford U5s with a resounding 4-0 win. Kane Cobras FC also displayed their offensive prowess, securing a 4-0 victory against FUB FC. Norfolk N Chance and Per Vertesacker delivered a nine-goal thriller, with the former triumphing 6-3. A stalemate was observed between Sky Blue Army and Bar Snort FC, ending in a goalless draw. Street FC managed to grab a win with a narrow 2-1 victory against The Crow-Knees. In Division 1, Norfolk N Chance emerged as the top scorers, notching up 6 goals.
