Sunday 8th January - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week as we returned to action for 2023 with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled.

We Kante Win got their second win on the spin in the Premier Division, a 5-2 thrashing of Snorting Wizbon sees them sit on maximum points, whilst last seasons champions Firing Squad followed up their draw before Christmas, with an impressive 7-2 win over newly promoted 01543.  Team Maestro also got a win under their belts for the first time this campaign as they were 4-3 winners over Stroke Titty in a well competed game, whilst completing the action was Diadora FC and FUB FC who shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Put It In Dias look a solid addition to Division One as they romped to a 6-0 win over Hednesford U5's to top the table at this early stage, as do Only Matip Inn who were 3-1 winners over ACFC to get their second win in a row, whilst Ayden FC were 4-2 winners over Master Haters to claim their second win on the spin.

We are delighted to welcome new team Enter Matip into the league this week!  We wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Sunday 15th January in Division One!
