Sunday 9th September - Cannock Round-Up

It was an excellent evening of 6 a side football in Cannock on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled and some entertaining matches played throughout the night.

We welcomed two new teams into the Premier Division and they had mixed fortunes in their first matches.  Helloyoukante had arguably the tougher opening game, losing 5-1 at the hands of last season's champions FMFB.  S Club 6 are the other new team and got off to a flyer, putting double figures past Kevnes to win their first game 10-3!

It promises to be a mouth watering tie in the Premier Division this Sunday as Pique Blinders face off against FMFB as the top two go head to head.  The gap was reduced to just 2 points after Pique dropped a point this week, after being held to a 0-0 draw by third placed Messi Busquets.

Its a top two clash in Division One as well as we approach the business end of the season.  Sporting Lesbians face Quality Operators with just two points separating the two teams.  Sporting's superior goal difference is worth another point but anything can happen going into the next round of fixtures.  Both go into the tie on the back of 2-1 and 5-1 wins respectively.

We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier provider of small sided football.
