It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance barring two. Gerihattricks and Elite FC have both now been removed from the league.
We welcome new teams Chase Ay We and Need a Treadmill to the league from Wednesday 11th June and wish both good luck going into their first fixtures with us.
In the Premier League division, Wheely Bad FC showed their dominance with an impressive 5-0 victory over Blewitt FC. An even contest was seen between Clarence F.C. and Victor Moses Lawn which ended in a 1-1 draw whereas Jimmy Sevilla FC were narrowly beaten by NUTMEG CITY by 2 goals to 1.
Moving over to Division 1, a thrilling match between Banglasesh FC and Toby Minton FC saw Toby Minton FC take away the victory with a scoreline of 4-3. ORIENTAL DELIGHT edged passed Donk II 1-0 in a tightly contested match, while The Exsvendaballs lost to Murder On Zidane's Floor 5-4 in an absolute goal fest. LIMES FC ended their match with a comfortable 2-0 victory over MABLES SPARTANS.
In Division 2, DOUBLE POGBA AND COKE drew 1-1 with TomBolas FC. Burntwood FC bagged a 4-2 victory against Galacticos, and Norton Wanderers were defeated by Restored V2 with the final score being 2-0.
Division 3 witnessed Cannockbis Dank Council securing a convincing 5-2 win against 12 Left Legs. Limes FC 2 rocked the field with a 4-1 victory over Demba 9 Ba. Romasexuals managed to clinch a 1-0 win against Karim Pie, and Solid Grooves fell to Rubber Ducks Fc, 5-2.
In Division 4, The Pitmen were beaten by Cals U6s 4-0, and Rosa Parks The Bus clinched a narrow 2-1 victory against Funny Innit.
Top scorers for each division were as follows: Premier League - Wheely Bad FC (5), Division 1 - Murder On Zidane's Floor (5), Division 2 - Burntwood FC (4), Division 3 - 12leftlegs (5), Division 4 - Cals U6s (4).
